New Year’s Even CFB Schedule
We’re finally getting into the games that matter, namely the CFB Playoffs.
The Sugar Bowl offers an interesting matchup too.
Somehow, the Music City Bowl found a slot here too and features a pair of subpar teams giving us a bit of filler to keep the day full.
TCU vs Michigan
Michigan has had another great year and is coming off a win over rival Ohio State (playing later in the evening), but the cards suggest this run could be coming to an end.
TCU draws the Magician card against UM’s 4 of Coin. The Magician is Major Arcana and brings major energy. The 4 of Coin is miserly and not at all conducive to success.
Look for TCU to cover +7.5 with high chance of a $ line victory.
Bama vs K State
Bama slid out of CFB contention but has been playing well despite their 2 losses. KSU isn’t far behind in rankings, and could keep this interesting having drawn the card of Strength.
However, Alabama draws the Sun, which always wins out over strength.
Look for Bama to win, but KSU to cover +7.
Iowa vs Kentucky
Like Michigan, Iowa draws the 4 of Coin. Kentucky draws the Page of Coin. The Page is barely royalty but is royalty nonetheless.
Look for Kentucky to cover +2.5
Ohio State vs Georgia
I know this is the game of the knight, but unfortunately, it’s the most clouded reading of the group.
Ohio State draws three: Page of Cups, 5 of Wands, and Death.
Georgia draws the 6 of Coin, 4 of Cups, and Knight of Wands.
I give the edge to OSU on a cover of +6, and perhaps even a $ line victory, but I am personally sitting out here because the draws are not decisive.
