Theme Card: Queen of Wands
Last week, the Devil indulged us with a rally then spent the week trapping us in place. April begins with more tricks, as the Queen of Wands loves to set traps and play dirty.
Wands are typically impulsive and fiery, so expect some wild swings. However, I don’t see anything that’s bearish here.
Let’s check the cards.
Monday: Five of Swords
A trap has been set and someone is stuck on the other side. Usually, with this guy, it’s a bull trap, which would make sense given Sunday’s open. We filled the gap and faded for most of the night.
This card is historically negative, so that may add confirmation to our bull trap bias. In other words, Friday’s buyers may be under water for a bit.
That said, if things get really out of hand to the downside early, then it could also suggest a bear trap. Just be ready to play mean reversion or sit out.
Tuesday: Ace of Cups
The Ace brings new starts and plenty of energy to make it happen. The Ace of Cups says we could be feeling an overflow of emotion, either euphoria or panic.
Treat this as a trend card with a bearish bias. Price usually overflows to the downside like a bubbling fountain. However, since we’re expecting a new start, my advice is to play the opposite direction of Monday’s dominant energy.
Wednesday: Ten of Wands
